HARROGATE, Tenn. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team lost a 93-63 decision to Tusculum Friday evening.
The Pacers are now 0-3 on the season.
Head coach
Mark Vanderslice's squad was led by
Xzavier Barmore's team-best 15 points. He dished out a team-high five assists as well.
Dhieu Deing accounted for 14 points on four-of-six shooting from distance. He also snagged four rebounds.
Faison Brock netted 11 points to go along with a team-best seven rebounds. For good measure, Brock registered three steals.
Gus Rowland totaled six points, five boards and four assists while
Robert Hill chipped in six points and one block.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 20-of-59 from the floor (34 percent), including nine-of-27 from downtown (78 percent). The squad held an 18-14 edge on the break.
Leading 14-12 in the early going,
Tracus Chisholm canned a lay-up before
Shaquan Jules slammed home a dunk off a pass from Barmore at the 12:20 mark for a six-point edge. Moments later, Barmore's driving lay-up pushed the lead to seven at 20-13. Down by two at 36-34, Hill knotted the contest on an inside shot just before the break.
Tusculum embarked on a 16-0 spurt to start the second half en route to the victory.
