AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost a hard-fought 3-0 contest to Catawba Saturday evening.
The Pacers are now 1-2 on the year while the Indians are also 1-2.

Ike Ofoje's team fought hard in the early going, gaining the first corner of the game in the sixth minute. Catawba answered with their own corner in the ninth minute though, and managed to grab a goal.
Play was fairly even between the two teams until the Pacers took another shot at a corner in the 21st minute of play.
USC Aiken made a change in goal and managed to grab another corner just after the Indians gained their second goal in the 24th minute, leading to the Pacer's first shot-on-goal, which was taken by
Jordan Misiri.
Catawba managed to score their third goal at the start of the 33 minute.
The Pacers came out renewed and determined in the second half, taking five more shots and gaining four more corners. They also kept the Indians to only four more shots in the scoreless half.
For the match, USC Aiken was out-shot 11-7, including 5-3 on goal. Ofoje's squad totaled seven corner kicks to four for the visitors.
Kenneth Kalek manned the first 27 minutes between the pipes while
Alejandro Chavarria played the remaining 63 minutes. They each registered one save in the loss.
