AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost a 1-0 decision to No. 10 Lander Saturday afternoon in a league contest.
The Pacers are now 2-4 overall and 0-2 in league play. The Bearcats improve to 7-0-1 on the year and 2-0 against conference foes.

Ike Ofoje's team fell behind in the 12
th minute of action after the contest had been played toe-to-toe in the opening 10-plus minutes.
Alejandro Chavarria saved a shot in the 14
th minute of action, keeping it at 1-0.
USC Aiken did not register its first shot until
Sammy Viada blasted an attempt that sailed wide at the 28:46 mark.
Jordan Misiri nearly evened the contest in the 32
nd minute, but his attempt was blocked by a defender as it rocketed toward the back of the net.
The Pacers earned a corner kick in the 45
th minute, but the team could not tie the contest before the break.
Neither team could muster a shot in the second stanza until
Giuseppe Cimino's attempt missed wide of the frame in the 64
th minute of play. It also marked the last shot of the night for the home team.
For the match, Chavarria played all 90 minutes between the pipes and picked up six saves.
