Defensively, Rebecca Martinez accounted for a match-high 27 digs while surpassing the 1,500-dig plateau for her career. Vannah Strozier reached double figures with 13 digs.

At the net, Carroll and Spurlin each had a solo block and assisted on a block together.

Trailing 2-1 in the first set, Carroll found the court, knotting things up. That sparked a 5-0 run for a 6-2 advantage. After a point by the visitors, Carroll and Smith followed it up with back-to-back kills.

Tied at 9-9, Smith found the court, enabling the Pacers to go on a 6-0 spurt for a 15-9 edge. Although Lander pulled within two, Duggan and Carroll posted the final two points in the 25-21 win.

Leading 5-3 in the second set, Carroll slammed home a kill, allowing USC Aiken to start a 7-0 run. During the spurt, Smith added a kill but the rest came on miscues by the visitors. Vialdores made it a 14-4 contest and the team never looked back in the 25-15 victory.

Head coach Glenn Cox's team trailed 9-4 in the third set, but Vialdores registered back-to-back kills and Bell added one to make it 9-7. Down 12-7, Vialdores stopped the run with a kill. Smith added an ace. Two miscues by Lander and a kill from Duggan knotted the score at 12-12.

The teams went back-and-forth for much of the set, but the Bearcats took a 22-21 lead. However, Vialdores answered with a kill. Carroll stuffed an attempt to make it 23-22. After a time-out, the visitors had back-to-back errors, giving USC Aiken the 25-22 win.
