AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team lost an 10-4 contest to Newberry Tuesday evening.
The Pacers are now 26-16 on the season while the Wolves improve to 24-20.
Head coach
Kenny Thomas' team jumped on top with a run in the bottom of the first. With one away,
Daulton Weeks singled to left field. He promptly swiped second and hustled to third on an errant throw by the catcher.

Philip Watcher reached on an error by the second baseman and scampered to third on a single by
Chandler Rogers. A walk to
Jose Bonilla loaded the bags. A passed ball made it 4-2 as everyone moved up a base. Weeks lifted a fly ball to left field that was deep enough to score Rogers, making it a 4-3 contest.
The visitors scored four in the fifth, pushing the margin to five at 8-3.
Trailing 10-3 in the seventh, USC Aiken pushed across a run when
Conner Durden reached on a fielder's choice. Parreira, who was hit by a pitch earlier in the frame, crossed home plate for a 10-4 score.
