AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team needed overtime but defeated Augusta by a score of 85-74 in a league contest.
The Pacers are now 7-20 overall, including 4-17 in conference play. The Jaguars fall to 5-20 on the year and 2-19 against league foes.

Kyrie' Chandler's game-high 27 points on nine-of-15 shooting.
Star Toomey tied USC Aiken's Division II school record with 18 rebounds. She added 19 points for a double-double.
Melyk Taouil garnered 15 points and eight rebounds in the win.
Marissa Bruce chipped in 13 markers while
Sade Johnson added eight points.
A lay-up by Toomey at the 5:22 mark of the first period gave USC Aiken an 11-4 edge. However, the home squad would go on a 13-3 spurt to close out the stanza for a 17-14edge.
The Pacers closed the gap to one early in the second quarter, but the Jaguars managed to stretch the margin to 10 at 37-27. However, Chandler pulled up and drained a deep three-ball with one second to play in the half, making it a seven-point contest at the break.
Miller's team came out inspired after halftime, embarking on a 9-2 run to knot the score at 39-39 with 7:06 to go in the third. Six of the points were scored by Toomey while Taouil added a three-point shot in the mix.
USC Aiken held a four-point lead, 51-47, heading into the fourth. Chandler's jumper pushed the lead to eight at 60-52, but the home squad battled. The Pacers led 67-62 with 4:29 to play, but the Jaguars scored 10 straight.
However, Toomey made a lay-up to slice the deficit to three at 72-69. On the ensuing possession, Augusta's Autumn Woodard threw the ball out of bounds, giving USC Aiken the ball back. Immediately following the pass, Chandler beat a pair of defenders and got a three-point shot off that rattled home, tying the game at 72-72 with 18 seconds to go.
USC Aiken forced a missed shot and grabbed the rebound. After a time-out, the Pacers were unable to get a shot off as the teams remained tied at 72-72.
The Pacers controlled overtime, outscoring the Jaguars 13-2. In all, USC Aiken embarked on an 18-2 run to end the game, including the extra session.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 31-of-63 from the floor (49.2 percent), including 10-of-29 from downtown (34.5 percent). The squad buried 13-of-16 from the charity stripe (81.3 percent). Miller's team out-rebounded the home team 47-28, including 17-10 on the offensive glass.
