AIKEN, S.C. - The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team cruised to a 64-49 win in the season finale against Young Harris Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers conclude the season with two straight victories and end the year with an 8-20 mark, including 5-17 in league play.

Mark Miller's team was led by
Melyk Taouil's 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes of action.
Marissa Bruce contributed 12 points to go along with seven boards.
Celine Vega poured in 11 markers and added a pair of assists in 17 minutes of work.
Star Toomey continued her stellar play, garnering eight points and seven boards. She added two blocks and two thefts.
Sade Johnson chipped in seven boards and a team-best three steals.
USC Aiken jumped on top early, surging to an 18-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. Tied at 7-7, Taouil buried a three-pointer off a pass from
Phenicia Howard. Taouil hit another shot from distance and
Marissa Bruce converted a lay-up for a 15-9 edge. Bruce hit a shot from downtown off a nifty pass from Taouil near the end of the quarter for the nine-point lead.
USC Aiken extended the margin to 13 with 3:40 left in the half when Vega found Bruce for a jumper on the break. YHC managed to cut the deficit to seven prior to halftime, but Miller's squad never gave up the lead in the second half. Â
The Pacers continued their strong play in the second half, outscoring the visitors 30-22.Â
For the game, USC Aiken got contributions from everyone - and the squad's bench outscored the bench from YHC 26-7. The Pacers were spectacular, registering 11 second-chance points compared to two by YHC.
USC Aiken canned 25-of-62 from the floor (40.3 percent), including 11-of-29 from behind the three-point stripe (37.9 percent). The Pacers controlled the glass, snagging 45 boards compared to 33 for the Mountain Lions.
Miller's team did not feature a senior on the squad.Â
