AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team posted a 59-54 victory over Georgia College Wednesday evening in a league contest.
The Pacers are now 4-1 overall and 1-0 in league play. The Bobcats fall to 1-5 overall and 0-1 against conference foes.

Kyrie' Chandlers' team-best 11 points.
Grace Crawford,
Madeline Sexton and
Melyk Taouil had 10 points apiece while
Kwajelin Farrar narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and 10 boards. She also added three blocks.
Sade Johnson pulled down a season-high 11 rebounds while also contributing a pair of thefts and a block.
In a back-and-forth affair, USC Aiken jumped out to a 6-2 lead on a bucket by Taouil off a pass from Chandler. However, the Bobcats went on an 8-0 run to make it 10-6. A three-ball from Crawford and another by Chandler made it 12-10 in favor of the home squad with 2:57 to play in the first quarter. GC managed to lead 17-16 entering the second period.
Miller's squad trailed 19-16 before a 4-0 spurt gave the team a one-point advantage.
Alex Canady hit two charity tosses before Taouil's jumper made it 20-19. Neither squad could gain much of an advantage throughout the period. Trailing 29-27, Crawford weaved through three defenders before hitting a reverse lay-up with 12 seconds remaining, knotting the score at 29-29 entering halftime.
After trailing in the third frame, Miller's team held the visitors to a mere eight points over the final 10 minutes to secure the win.
Trailing 46-43 entering the fourth, USC Aiken turned up the defensive pressure. For nearly five minutes, the team did not allow a basket by the Bobcats while reeling off seven consecutive points.
Leading 52-50, Sexton and Crawford each hit shots before Chandler made a free throw, extending the lead to seven with 20 seconds to play.
For the game, USC Aiken held a resounding 52-31 rebounding margin.
