AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team earned a hard fought 1-0 win at North Greenville Wednesday evening in a non-conference contest.
The Pacers are now 2-2 on the young season.

Hilary George's team pushed forward early and often.
Tori Caldwell booted the first shot of the contest 76 seconds in, but it was stopped by the keeper.
Willa Olson and
Gressa Olson each attempted shots in the first 10 minutes of action, but neither found the back of the net.
Marissa Lee had a pair of shots that were saved in the 32
nd minute, but she continued pushing forward. At the 41:12 mark, Lee blasted home her first career goal for a 1-0 edge.

Amanda Giordano took a corner kick in the 63
rd minute, but nobody was able to connect for a score.
The Crusaders had three solid attempts in the waning minutes of action, but
Katie Commins came up huge at the 84:59 mark. Then, the home team had one shot blocked and another sailed just wide of the frame with 1:49 to play.
For the match, George's team outshot its counterpart 15-6, including an 8-2 margin on goal.
Cadwalader stopped a shot in the first half while Commins thwarted an attempt in the second period for the shutout.
