GREENWOOD, S.C. – The No. 23 University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team lost a 3-2 decision at Lander Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 21-8 overall and 7-4 in league play.

Kenny Thomas' team jumped out to a 1-0 edge in the fourth inning.
Jonathan Banks led off the fourth with a double to center field. With one down, Banks moved to second on a passed ball while
Zach Moon walked. Moon hustled to second on a passed ball.
Brian Parreira lifted a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Banks for the 1-0 lead.
The Bearcats countered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame for a 2-1 lead.
USC Aiken would place runners on base in the fifth and sixth innings, but the team was unable to capitalize until the eighth.
Bonilla led off with a single. With one down,
Mitchell Price's walk put two runners on base. Moon's deep fly ball allowed Bonilla t scamper to third. Parriera's single to left field scored the tying run.
Lander would load the bases in the ninth before hitting a walk-off single for the game-winner.
For the game, Parreira led the way with three hits. Ammerman and Bonilla registered two hits apiece. Parreira drove in both runs for USC Aiken.
Connor Riley worked 7.2 frames, striking out 13. He gave up two runs on four hits and walked just one.
Nick Yobbi was saddled with the loss.
