AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken dance team is set to compete at the Cheer LTD Nationals at CANAM Friday in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The Pacers will compete in the Open Pom and Open Jazz categories.
The dance team is coming off a second-place finish at the Peach Belt Conference Championship.
USC Aiken is making its sixth trip to the competition. Previously, the squad finished first in their divisions for variety, jazz and/or hip-hop in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
The team is comprised of one senior (
Taylor Shelley), four juniors (
Jasmine Edwards,
Mercedes Egan,
Hailey Forbes and
Stephanie Hollis) and four freshmen (
Winter Gibson,
Mikaila O'Neal,
Becca Prine and
Hannah Watson).
