AIKEN, S.C. - The University of South Carolina Aiken is pleased to announce information regarding the upcoming dance team open rehearsals and tryouts. 

OPEN REHEARSALS
Open Rehearsals are a great way to come learn more about the USC Aiken Dance Team and to help prepare you for auditions. These rehearsals are not required for auditions. Those who attend should plan to participate in a dance class that includes stretching, technical drills, and a short combination.
 
MONDAYS       7:30-9 p.m.      USCA Convocation Center North Gym (375 Robert M.  Bell Parkway, Aiken SC)
March 25, April 8, and April 22

WEDNESDAYS   8-9:30 p.m.            Burns Dance Studio (1560 Hamilton Drive, Aiken SC)
March 20, March 27, and April 10
 
AUDITIONS
Auditions for the 2019-20 USCA Dance Team are scheduled for Sunday, April 28, starting at 3 pm in the USC Aiken Convocation Center South Gym.  Those who are auditioning must have applied for the Fall 2019 semester or are currently enrolled in good academic standing with the university.  Audition requirements include a performance of a one-minute routine (taught at tryouts) and the following skills*:  turn of your choice, leap of your choice, toe touch, and optional skill of your choice. *Skill evaluation is based on technique and difficulty.  Those auditioning are encouraged to choose the most difficult skill that they have mastered.
