COLUMBUS, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team lost a 78-59 contest at Columbus State Saturday.
The Pacers fall to 3-7 overall and 0-4 in league play. The Cougars stand at 5-3 overall and 3-1 against conference competition.

Mark Miller's team was paced by
Kyrie' Chandler's game-high 19 points. She buried five-of-10 from the floor, including five-of-nine from distance. Chandler also connected on four-of-six from the charity stripe.
Emily Waters totaled a double-double with 15 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Newcomer
Star Toomey contributed 11 points and 11 boards for her first double-double of the season.
Marissa Bruce and
Melyk Taouil shared team-high accolades with three assists apiece.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 20-of-56 from the floor (35.7 percent), including six-of-25 from downtown (24 percent). The visitors dished out 12 assists on the 20 buckets.
Miller's team was out-rebounded 49-41, but held a slim 29-28 advantage on the defensive glass.
After trailing by double digits at the end of the first quarter, Bruce's free throw at the 6:21 mark of the second stanza pulled the squad within nine at 26-17. However, it marked the last time USC Aiken would trail by single digits.
USC Aiken trailed 46-27 at the break, but outscored the home team by three in the third quarter.
