MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball team lost a 3-1 decision at Georgia College Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 22-4 on the season and 8-2 in league play. The Bobcats improve to 19-5 overall and 8-3 against conference foes.
Alie Smith led USC Aiken with 16 kills and 13 digs for a double-double effort.
Kelsey Spurlin contributed a career-best 10 kills.
Christine Carroll tallied eight kills while
Alicia Hines and
Julia Forster added six and five, respectively.
Emily Teelon notched a double-double with 45 assists and 10 digs.
Defensively,
Rebecca Martinez posted a match-best 29 digs.
Kayla Duggan added 16 while
Natalie Perrault chipped in six.
At the net, Carroll totaled five blocks while Smith stuffed four shots.
Head coach
Glenn Cox's team posted 53 kills compared to 51 by the home team, but 37 attack errors by the visitors were the difference.
