AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team is fifth in the 2017 Perfect Game preseason poll, which was recently released.

The Pacers are coming off a 40-18 campaign that saw the team make the NCAA Southeast Region Championship.

Head coach Kenny Thomas' squad has an abundance of experience and talent returning this season.

Three teams that the Pacers face this season are in the preseason top 25, including No. 2 Nova Southeastern, No. 12 North Georgia and the aforementioned Ralisplitters of LMU.

USC Aiken opens the season Friday, Feb. 3, when it hosts No. 25 Lincoln Memorial at 4 p.m. Live stats and video will be available at PacerSports.com. Post-game interviews will be available via Facebook Live at USC Aiken Athletics.
