AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost a 5-2 decision to West Alabama Monday afternoon in a non-conference contest.
The Pacers are now 1-4 overall while West Alabama is 2-3.

Ike Ofoje's team fell behind 1-0 in the 14
th minute, but produced a quick-fire offensive play to even the match.
With the ball on the right flank,
Andre Simmond flicked the ball to Rodridgo Goncalves near the end-line. He quickly crossed the ball over into the box where
Adria Dalmau finished it off for the score at the 16:47 mark.
Just prior to halftime, the Tigers struck again. A shot blasted toward the frame that keeper
Jesse Rooker stopped. However, he was unable to smother it. UWA fired in the loose ball for a 2-1 lead heading into halftime.
In the 51
st minute, USC Aiken knotted the score. After earning a corner kick, Simmond played the ball high and deep into the middle of the box. There,
Nathan Shanko ran toward the ball and headed it past the keeper for the 2-2 contest.
Seventeen seconds after the Pacers tied the match, the Tigers tallied what turned out to be the game-winning goal. At the 51:08 mark, UWA increased its lead to 4-2. The visitors scored the final goal at the 75:50 mark in the 5-2 victory.
For the match, the Tigers out-shot the Pacers 16-10. The visitors totaled 11 corner kicks to nine by USC Aiken.
Rooker played for 45 minutes and registered two saves.
Orlando Maldovan played the entire second half and notched four saves in the loss.
