MORROW, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision at Clayton State Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers fall to 4-12 on the year, including a 2-8 mark against conference competition. The Lakers improve to 8-5-1 overall and 5-4-1 in league play.

Hilary George's team opened the contest by earning a corner kick at the 7:41 mark.
Amanda Giordano booted the first shot of the match that narrowly missed right of the goal.
Brye Epley notched a shot in the 13
th minute that also missed wide.
Clayton State put a pair of shots on goal in the 23
rd minute, but
Karin Cadwalader was up for the challenge, stopping both.
At the 25:25 mark, play was stopped due to a yellow card. The Lakers took the penalty kick and found the back of the net for a 1-0 edge.
USC Aiken continued to push forward, drawing a corner kick in the 33
rd minute of action. A minute later,
Abby Frick blasted an attempt, but it was saved.
Cadwalader faced a flurry of shots that she turned away in the 42
nd minute, but the home team managed to slip one past her for a 2-0 advantage at the 41:57 mark. Frick's attempt was stopped with 44:12 to play, keeping the score at 2-0 heading into the second period.
Sarah Moore rocketed a shot toward the goal, but it was saved in the 49
th minute of play. Frick missed high and Epley's attempt was stopped moments later.
The Lakers made it 3-0 in the 73
rd minute for the final tally.
For the match, USC Aiken was out-shot 21-7, including a 12-4 margin on goal. Cadwalader registered nine saves in the loss while playing all 90 minutes between the pipes.
