YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost an 11-1 decision at Young Harris Saturday afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference contest.
The Pacers are now 2-6 on the year and 1-1 against conference competition. The Mountain Lions are 3-5 on the year and 2-2 in PBC play.
USC Aiken was whistled for a foul in the box in the first minute and a penalty was called. The ensuing play resulted in a goal.
Nathan Shanko's attempt to knot the score at the 7:23 mark was saved. The home team quickly countered and scored 12 seconds later for what turned out to be the game-winning tally.

Ike Ofoje's team, however, continued to push forward into the offensive third of the pitch.
Andre Simmond and Shanko had shots that were close range, but one was saved and the other missed the frame by inches.
USC Aiken trailed 4-0 at the break and quickly increased it to 6-0 just 7:06 into the period.

Roberto Biendicho broke through for a goal at the 79:36 mark. He corralled a loose ball and blasted one past the keeper to avoid the shutout.
USC Aiken was outshot 29-10, including 16-7 in shots on goal. The Mountain Lions had six corner kicks compared to four by Ofoje's squad. The dyad of

Jesse Rooker combined for five saves.
