The PBC preseason favorite to repeat as conference champs have now won their last five league road contests dating back to 2006.  And after a decade of dominance by Armstrong Atlantic State over USCA, losing 18-straight beginning in 1997, the Lady Pacers have won three of their last four over AASU including a 3-0 victory in the 2006 PBC Tournament Championship in their last match-up.

USCA, the league's most efficient offense, started out on fire hitting .412 en route to the nine-point, game one victory.  The Lady Pacers stayed hot hitting .386 in game two and .293 in game three.

Gerolstein recorded kills on her first 10 attempts, finishing with a match-best 16 against only one error in 22 attacks for a .682 hitting percentage.  The two-time All-Conference standout and PBC Player of the Year candidate is hitting a commanding .411 on the season including a .473 clip against conference foes.

Senior preseason All-Conference performer Missy Deardorff added 12 kills, 13 digs, and three blocks while junior Stefanie Durham also posted a double double with 10 kills and 13 digs, hitting .360.  Senior middle hitter Jasmine Edney chipped in seven kills and a match-high six blocks.  Sophomore setter Lauren Cedeno tallied 37 assists in directing the offense to a .361 hitting percentage on the night.

Antje Reuleke led the Pirates with nine kills and seven digs.  Kara Jerden registered 15 assists while Nicole Yates tallied 11 digs.  As a team, AASU hit .109 in having their three-game conference win streak snapped.

USC Aiken returns to action on Friday, October 12 when the Lady Pacers travel to Florence, S.C. to take on Francis Marion in a Peach Belt Conference clash at 7:00 PM.
