Box Score 2 FLORENCE, S.C.--USC Aiken split a pair of matches in the Francis Marion Quad-Match over the weekend. The Lady Pacers (15-9) blanked Fayetteville State (10-13) in three games with scores of 30-21, 30-19, and 30-22. In USCA's second match of the day, the Lady Pacers dropped a 3-0 decision to West Georgia (18-5) with game scores of 30-20, 30-27, and 30-21.
In the win over Fayetteville State,
Jenny Lloyd and
Veronica Seidle each tallied double doubles. Lloyd turned in a 22-kill, 14-dig performance while Seidle added 10 kills and 16 digs. It was the 20th career 20-kill match for Lloyd who extended her double-digit kill streak to 25 matches this weekend.
A pair of freshmen led the Lady Pacers in blocking with
Amanda Timm and
Missy Deardorff each tallying four blocks including two solo blocks. Timm also registered a match-high 21 assists.
Rachel Dalitz and
Jessica Lane combined for four of the team's nine service aces.
Mia Eubanks led the Lady Broncos with five kills while Antrice Phillips recorded nine of the team's 17.5 blocks. FSU managed just 16 kills for the match and hit .000. USCA hit .246 to go with 12.0 team blocks.
In the fourth-ever meeting with the Lady Pacers, West Georgia notched its first win in the series with a 3-0 victory behind a .349 hitting percentage and 7.5 team blocks. Stephanie Singleton had a team-high 15 kills while Sarah Jett added 11 kills and four blocks.
Lloyd again led the Lady Pacers with 16 kills. Seidle just missed a double double with nine kills and 14 digs. Deardorff contributed eight kills and five blocks.
USC Aiken will host the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras tonight at 7:00 PM.
