Box Score GAFFNEY, SC--USC USC Aiken's women's soccer team lost to Limestone College today, 3-1, in Gaffney, S.C. The Lady Pacers fell to 7-5-3 on the season and saw their seven game unbeaten streak end come to an end. USC Aiken had not lost since a 2-1 setback at North Florida on Oct. 1, 2002. Limestone improved to 10-5-0.
The two teams ended the first period tied at one goal apiece, but Limestone scored two unanswered goals in the second frame to take the win.
USCA took just seven shots on the day, compared to Limestone's 10 shots. Limestone also held the advantage in corner kicks, 10-4.
Jodi Kulinitch scored USC Aiken's lone goal of the day. The freshman scored, unassisted, at the 29:07 mark in the first period. It was her seventh goal of the season.
Cayce Wampole starred for Limestone. The sophomore scored two goals on three shots.
???????The Lady Pacers return home for their next match. USC Aiken will play Newberry College on Monday at 6:00 p.m. The match will be played at "Pacer Pit" on the USCA campus.
