AIKEN, S.C. – Junior
Brian Wilson scored one goal and had four assists to lead the USCA men's soccer team to a 6-0 victory on Wednesday.
Junior
John Dobbs go the scoring started in the first 12 minutes of the game off a corner kick from Wilson. Then,
Fabio Neves and
Richard Wolf each found the back of the net (Wilson assisted) to give USCA a 3-0 halftime lead.
Freshman
Curtis Williamson got the Pacers rolling in the beginning of the second half as he found the right corner of the net for his third goal of the season (Wilson &
Josh Wilkins assisted). About midway through the second half Wilson connected on his third goal of the season (Neves assisted) to increase the score to 5-0.
With 12 minutes remaining freshman walk-on
Bobby Pyle got an open shot in front of the net off a corner kick and slammed the ball past Newberry goalkeeper Ashley Smith for his first goal of his career (
Paul Okumu assist).
David Walker started the game in goal for the Pacers and was relieved with 24 minutes remaining by
Brian Smoak.
