University of South Carolina Aiken women’s soccer standout Karin Cadwalader has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 22, 2017.

Cadwalader, a senior from Hasselby, Sweden, guided the Pacers to a victory over Clayton State on Senior Day.

The 5-8 goalkeeper registered six saves in the hard fought 2-1 win.

She made five first-half stops and came up big in the second half with a save. Cadwalader directed the defense superbly, helping the Pacers keep Clayton State at bay in the waning minutes.

The win helped keep USC Aiken’s shot at the postseason alive heading into the crucial last week of the season.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
