In many cases, high school graduates do not choose a college close to home. This is the case for junior Hailey Forbes, who hails from Oxford, Mich.

Despite being over 800 miles away from home, Forbes was fortunate enough to have a family member who worked at USC Aiken.

Throughout her first two years at the school, Forbes thrived in her dancing, school and the jobs that she took on.

Forbes, who excelled at jazz growing up, learned hip-hop once she arrived on campus. She has been an integral part of the team the last two-plus seasons and it showed as she is one of the captains on this year’s squad.
