Life is a journey. University of South Carolina Aiken men’s soccer goalkeeper Chase Boulton can say he has had quite a journey to get to Aiken, S.C.

The 6-1, 175 lb., senior is originally from Gilbert, Ariz. After being a two-time all-region selection at Highland H.S., Boulton stayed close to home and attended Phoenix College. There, he helped his team to the state finals and region semifinals.

Prior to the 2015 season, Boulton transferred to USC Aiken. During the year, he garnered time in five matches, earning three starts. Boulton was solid between the pipes, playing 285:12 and notching 13 saves.

This year, Boulton was the only keeper on the roster to start fall practice. However, Boulton thrived in the situation. Known as a solid leader on the team, Boulton sat down with USC Aiken to talk about his journey – across the country and as a Division II goalkeeper.
