AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout Leo Johansson has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 27, 2020.
Johansson, in his second year with the program, guided the Pacers to a victory at the 7
th Annual UNG Fall Invitational.
A native of Djuro, Sweden, Johansson finished in a tie for eighth place at the event. He shot seven-under par, 216, for the 54-hole tournament.
Johansson’s final-round 67 tied for the lowest round on the team. The five-under par, 67, helped USC Aiken establish a tournament record for lowest 18-hole team score with 273.
Through two tournaments on the year, Johansson has a pair of top-10 finishes after taking second at the Camden Collegiate.
The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
