When people mention it feels like Joey Smithers has been at USC Aiken a long time – it’s the absolute truth.

Smithers, a senior, has played for head coach Kenny Thomas since his freshman season. However, he has been around the program much longer.

A native of Aiken, S.C., Smithers recently discussed with Leah Boghosian about how he has been brought up being a Pacer, starting with his time as a bat boy years ago.
