Everyone has a different path in life and many times, those paths cross again years later.

Sophomore Celine Vega, a guard from Orlando, Fla., played at Flagler Palm Coast H.S. Growing up, she played for Sara Nuxol.

After Vega’s freshman year, the previous assistant coach at USC Aiken, Joanna Reitz, took another job at the Division I level, opening a spot on head coach Mark Miller’s staff. Vega mentioned her former coach, who was then at the University of North Florida.

Miller conducted multiple interviews for the position and Nuxol was the top candidate, thus allowing Vega and Nuxol to reunite as coach and player.
