University of South Carolina Aiken men’s basketball standout Robert Hill has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Month for December.
Hill is a sophomore from Lilburn, Ga. He guided the Pacers to a 3-2 record in the month.
In five games, Hill averaged 6.6 points and a team-best 7.4 rebounds a contest. Hill blocked a team-best 16 shots (3.2 blocks/game) and hit a team-best 68.2 percent of his shots from the floor.
Hill notched double figures in the win over North Greenville and Columbus State. Against the Cougars, he posted a season-high 11 rebounds.
In three of the four games in which he took a shot, Hill connected on at least two-thirds of his attempts, including a five-of-five effort against Columbus State.
He posted at least six rebounds in every game and blocked at least one shot in each game, including a career-high seven against Clayton State. Against the Lakers, Hill had eight points, seven blocks and seven boards.
The South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2017-18 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
