Joe Kucharski is in his 24th year as the "Voice of the Pacers." 

Kucharski has been the Voice of USC Aiken since 2001. Kucharski has handled PA duties for every sport throughout his time as a Pacer, numbering close to 2,000 games. He started doing PA for the men's and women's basketball teams in 2001, the baseball team in 2003, volleyball in 2004 and the men's and women's soccer teams in 2007. Kucharski also assists with PA duties at softball from time to time. He has been the emcee for every Hall of Fame ceremony and every end-of-year banquet put on by the Department of Athletics. Kucharski has handled PA duties for numerous PBC Tournaments, nine NCAA Regional Tournaments held at USC Aiken and two NCAA Division II Soccer Final Fours since his arrival at USC Aiken. 

On Apr. 29, 2023, Kucharski was inducted into the USC Aiken Athletic Randy Warrick Hall of Fame. 

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Kucharski graduated from St. Louis University in 1977. While at SLU, he provided statistics and analysis for the Billiken hockey and softball teams. 

Kucharski completed his graduate studies at the University of Utah, where he bowled for the Utes in the Inter-Mountain Collegiate Conference. He briefly held the record for the highest three-game series ever bowled in Salt Lake City. He has bowled a 300 game and is a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame. 

Kucharski and his family moved from New Jersey to Aiken in 1994. On January 2, 2018, he retired from GlaxoSmithKline after working there in operations for 37 years.

He and his wife, Beth - a retired nurse, have three children and five grandchildren. His son, Michael, worked for the USC Aiken Sports Information office from 2011-13.

Kucharski was given the "USCA Distinguished Citizen Award" in 2013. 

When not at USC Aiken sporting events, Kucharski enjoys playing golf.
