Cody Stone is in his first year as Assistant Athletic Director For Business Services & External Relations.
“I’m incredibly excited to welcome Cody Stone to our staff as Assistant Athletic Director for Business Services and External Relations,” Associate Athletic Director Jessica Woods said. “Cody stood out throughout the search process because of his professionalism, strong work ethic, and passion for collegiate athletics. He brings valuable experience, a willingness to learn, and a thoughtful approach to supporting both our internal operations and external growth while also building meaningful relationships within the campus and local community. We’re thrilled to have him joining the USCA Athletics family and look forward to the impact he will make on our department and student-athletes.”
Stone comes to USCA after spending the 2025-26 academic year as the Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Business and Operations at Sul Ross State University.
There, Stone oversaw athletic business and operational functions that included procurement, travel coordination, budgeting, purchasing and ticketing reporting. He managed athletic facilities, event scheduling as well as all aspects of gameday operations.
Prior to Sul Ross State, Stone spent two years as a graduate assistant for the Greater Waco Sports Commission where he led operations for a Corporate Cup event, managing participation from 35-plus businesses. Among his duties, Stone oversaw event logistics, coordinated communications with partners and managed on-site production.
Stone played baseball at the University of the Southwest (N.M.) where he helped the Mustangs qualify for the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament all three seasons. He was a three-time RRAC Scholar-Athlete and a President’s Award recipient.
Stone has a B.B.A. in Sports Management from the University of the Southwest and a Master of Education in Sports Management from Baylor.
