2015: PBC all-academic team selection ... Started all 17 matches … Posted three goals and three assists for nine points on the year … Accounted for 30 shots, including 12 on frame … Dished out an assist at Pfeiffer … Had three shots, including one on goal, at Catawba … Assisted on the game-winning goal against Young Harris … Found the back of the net in the come-from-behind win at Montevallo … Scored a pair of goals in the 3-2 double-overtime victory against Georgia Southwestern … Had a pair of shots at UNC Pembroke.    

2014: Started 16 matches on the season … Second on the team with 17 points … Had six goals and a team-best five assists … Scored a goal in the tie against No. 10 Wingate … Had two shots, including one on goal, in the win over Emmanuel … Recorded a goal and assisted on the game-winner in the victory over Lenoir-Rhyne … Dished out an assist at Young Harris … Recorded an assist against Columbus State … Netted a pair of goals in the win over Georgia Southwestern … Posted two shots on goal in the win at Flagler … Registered two goals and an assist in the win over Montevallo … Assisted on a goal the tie with UNC Pembroke.              

2013: Earned second-team Daktronics all-district honors ... Started all 18 matches for the season … Took 59 shots with 30 coming on goal … Led the team with 10 goals and five assists for 25 points …  Netted a goal against USC Beaufort in the 11th minute …  Scored in the win over Coker … Notched a goal in the win over Brevard … Totaled two goals in the win over Young Harris … Assisted on USC Aiken’s lone goal at Lander … Scored twice in the victory over Flagler … Posted a goal and had an assist in the win at Columbia (S.C.) … Assisted on a goal against Lincoln Memorial … Notched scores at Montevallo and against Armstrong … Totaled a league-high six game-winning goals for the year.

2012: Started all 18 games at forward on the season … Smits led the team in points with nine … Also team leader in goals with four … Team leader in shots and shots on goal with 61 and 27, respectively.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Stonewall Jackson H.S. … Started every game for four years and was the team’s leading scorer each year ... Four-time all-district selection ... Was the leading scorer in Mid-Atlantic Region for U-17 Super-Y ball.

Personal: Daughter of Thierry Smits and Nancy Cullen-Smits ... Majoring in nursing.
