Russ Busbee is in his third year as a volunteer assistant coach with USC Aiken.
Busbee was an head cross country coach from 2000-2010 as well as a track & field head coach from 2006-2010.
Busbee is a certified USAT&F official and was a Junior Olympic coach.
He brings a wealth of experience to the program, having been a five-time cross country Region Coach of the Year and a three-time winner for track & field Region Coach of the Year.
Busbee led his girls team to seven region championships in cross country and two runner-up spots at the state meet. His boys’ teams won seven cross country region titles. Combined, his teams won 17 track and field region championships.
He has competed in over 400 road races since 1984 and has completed 28 marathons.
