1998: Started all 49 games played as a sophomore in the outfield and designated hitter… Batted .283 and ranked third on the team with 19 RBI… Had a career high four hits and three stolen bases at Newberry… Recorded 11 multi-hit games on the season… Had her first career home run at South Carolina State as she went 2-3, run, two RBI and a double.

1997: Saw action 35 of the Pacer games, while playing right field and designated hitter… Began the season with a .369 average (18 of 49 in 18 games) … Went 2-4 with one run scored, two RBI, a double and a stolen base against SCADD… Other highlights included a 3-4, 2 RUNS, RBI vs Emmanuel, 1-4, RUN, 2 RBI vs Augusta state and 1-2, RUN, RBI, BB vs Georgia College… Recorded four sacrifice hits on the season… Committed only one error in 35 games and finished the season with a .315 on base percentage 

Lexington High: Received the Golden Glove Award her senior year under Coach Scott Jumper… Batted .253 with 14 stolen bases and 12 RBI… Played in State Championship games in 1995 and finished second… Also, lettered in basketball and named Most Improved in 1995 and Most Valuable Player in 1996. 

Personal: Melissa Ann Reynolds was born on January 14, 1987… Daughter of Lester and Nancy Reynolds… Majoring in Elementary Education.
