1997: Started 49 of the 51 games at third base for the Pacers… Ranked fourth on the team with seven doubles… Best games were against Georgia College (2-4, 2 RUNS, 2 RBI, and triple) vs. Augusta State 92-2, 2 RUNS, 4 RBI, triple) vs. Newberry (2-2, 2 RUNS, 3 RBI, 1 Double), vs. Anderson (2-3, 2 RUNS, RBI, double, SB) and vs. Newberry (3-3, SB) 

Lexington High: Named Region III 4A Player of the Year, All-Area, All-Region, State Newspaper All-State Team, voted best third baseman in South Carolina by the high school sport report and led her team in stolen bases… Sophomore year selected as All-County and third best sophomore in the state of S.C… Played on Region III 4A Championship teams in 1992 and 1993, Upper State Championship team in 1992, and Lexington High State Champs in 1992, which was their first ever… Also, lettered in soccer. 

Personal: Melissa Leigh Scott was born on May 17, 1976… Daughter of Paul Scott and Leigh Padgett… Majoring in Elementary Education… Scott transferred from Spartanburg Methodist College and Midlands Technical College.
