Susan Hood is in her third season as an assistant coach at USC Aiken.
During her first two years, Hood helped coach all-conference standout Hannah Price.
“I’m thrilled to add Susan to the staff,” Snyder stated. “She brings a wealth of experience to the team. As a former student-athlete at USC Aiken, she can also relate to these student-athletes.”
Hood, a 1999 graduate of USC Aiken, was a four-year standout with the Pacers in the outfield.
She graduated with a B.S. in exercise science and is currently working on her master’s in education.
After graduating from USC Aiken, Hood worked for SRS as a security police officer and law enforcement officer.
Hood not only has coached several summer travel ball teams, but has roamed the sidelines as an assistant softball coach in 2013-14 at South Aiken H.S. She was the head softball coach at South Aiken H.S. from 2015-17.
Hood, a native of Aiken, S.C., has a daughter, Lexi. Hood is married to her husband, Bruce.
