University of South Carolina Aiken Athletics

Adam Howarth is in his second year as an assistant men’s soccer coach at USC Aiken.

Howarth comes to USC Aiken with a tremendous background. A co-owner at Higher Level LLC Sports Performance and the Founder of Higher Level Select Soccer Academy Club, Howarth will assist in all facets of the program. 

Howarth spent one year as the volunteer assistant coach at Brown University. There, he evaluated prospective student-athletes within the recruitment process. Howarth ran training sessions and worked with the training program for the team. 

Howarth led South Kingstown H.S. to a state championship and had the team ranked in the top 25 nationally. He also had stops as the Ocean State Soccer School Director of Coaching and as the Director of Soccer Operations at the University of Rhode Island for the women’s soccer program. He was also the U20 coach for AC Kajaani FC.   

He played professionally for Cheltenham Town FC, AC Kajaani FC and Bath City FC. 

Howarth holds a Premier Diploma, an Advanced National Diploma, National Diploma and English Football Association Level 2 Coaching Badge.

Howarth helped the University of Rhode Island to a pair of Atlantic 10 Conference titles. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in kinesiology.
