2006-07 (JUNIOR SEASON): Emerged as the team leader as a junior...The only player to start all 31 games...Averaged a team-high 30.1 minutes per game...Shot 52.4 percent (99-189) from the fi eld, good for fourth in the Peach Belt Conference... Led the team in rebounding with 4.6 per game...Third on the squad in points per game with 7.7...Had a career night on January 13 at Columbus State, scoring 16 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out six assists.

2005-06 (SOPHOMORE SEASON): Named a 2006 Arthur Ashe, Jr. First-Team Scholar-Athlete by the Diverse Issues in Higher Education Magazine...Solid sophomore campaign for the Pacers starting fi ve games including three of the fi nal four...Sixth on the team playing 18.4 minutes per contest.

2004-05 (FRESHMAN SEASON): The only true freshman on the team played in 22 games averaging 7.4 minutes per game...Opened his collegiate career with a bang against Carver Bible College on Nov. 2, scoring 12 points on 5-of-9 from the fi eld including 2-of-4 from deep to go with six rebounds and six assists in 26 minutes, all season-bests.

LOWER RICHLAND HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged 10 points, fi ve rebounds, four assists, and two steals per game his senior season at Lower Richland High School...Connected on over 50 percent of his shots from the fi eld...Named to the All-Region team as a senior...Led the Diamond Hornets to a 26-3 record and a South Carolina Class AAAA State Runner-up finish in 2004...In the semifinals, Oates finished with 11 points and his three-pointer late in the game helped Lower Richland hold off Goose Creek 64-63...WLTX Player of the Week...Part of a school record 25- game winning streak.
