David Belfield is in his fifth year as a member of the men’s basketball program at USC Aiken.
In his first season as an assistant, the Pacers went 18-9. Belfield worked with three all-conference performers. During the 2017-18 campaign, he worked with two all-conference honorees while also helping the team to a berth in the second round of the PBC Tournament.
During his first two seasons, Belfield was a guard for the Pacers. In his third season Belfield transitioned from the court to the bench as a student assistant men’s basketball coach.
In the 2014-15 season, Belfield was named a team captain. During the 2015-16 season he was a member of the Peach Belt Conference all-academic-team.
During his playing career at USC Aiken, Belfield spent summers working basketball camps up and down the east coast. He also spent the 2013-14 season as an assistant boy’s varsity basketball coach at Christ the King High School in Huntersville, N.C.
Belfield is currently a senior working on his Bachelor of Arts in communication. Upon graduating he will continue his coaching career.
