2000 (Junior): Played in just 13 games last season due to injury...Started the first eight games of the season at first base hitting .125 with four hits, one double, and five runs batted in before getting injured and lost for the season…Expected to return at full strength in 2001 and become a potent part of the Pacers line-up.

Young Harris Community College: He batted .372 with eight home runs and 54 runs batted in as a sophomore…Hit .360 with three home runs, 15 doubles, and 42 runs batted in his freshman year.

Lumpkin County High School: Armstrong was named the Georgia AA Player of the Year after batting .460 with nine home runs as a senior…His junior season, he was named First-Team All-Conference while batting .410 with six home runs.
