Played baseball under coach Ed Becker at Marlboro High School…earned all-state honors as senior with .521 average and a 10-2 pitching record…attended Brookdale (NJ) Community College…earned all-american recognition…broke team records for homeruns (13) and RBI (81) as sophomore…was a 10th round draft pick of the San Diego Padres…led the Pacers with a .427 average last season…had 11-game hitting streak during which he hit .571…hit safely in 26 of last 29 games...had on-base percentage of .516…was an honorable mention all-america selection in 1989…is a physical education major.
