Lettered in baseball at Chester High School… coached by John Barrett and Scott McLeod… selected to all-region team… named team MVP in 1986… transferred from Newberry College… had 8-0 mark for Pacers in 1990… had team-high 83 strikeouts in 72 1/3 innings… walked just 28… tossed two-hit shutout vs. Francis Marion… also had two-hit shutout against Presbyterian… earned all-american honors in 1990… named to all-district, all-area and all-state teams… missed 1991 season due to injury.
