Participated in football and baseball at Tennessee High School…baseball coach was Ben Rutherford…twice selected all-conference and all-big six…attended Walters State (TN) C.C. and played baseball for Roger Jackson…named to all-conference, all-district and all-eastern division squads…batted .370 for the Pacers last season…had team-high 14 doubles…his 50 RBI were second-best on the team…had 7 game-winning hits…earned all-district and all-area honors in 1990.
