Played on basketball and baseball teams at Tennessee High School…baseball coach was Ben Rutherford…earned al-conference and all-district honors…attended Walters State (TN) J.C….batted .320 in junior college…hit safely in 26 of last 35 games for Pacers last season…batted .354 during that period…committed just 7 errors in 160 chances (.956).
