2008 (Sophomore): Played in 19 games, starting nine...Ended season hitting .242...Had eight hits in total with three of his hits becoming doubles...Ended year with seven RBIs...Perfect in field with 1.000 fielding percentage. 2007 (Freshman): Played in 16 games as a freshman for the Pacers, including two starts behind the plate...Went 1-for-3 in a February 9 loss to Carson-Newman, his first career start... Was 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit RBI single in a February 25 win over Lander...Career-best game came two days later against Presbyterian, as Rice was a perfect 2-for-2 with a solo home run and two runs scored...Also started the April 10 contest with Benedict.

Cross Creek High School: First-Team All-Area catcher as a senior for the Razorbacks...Smacked six home runs and drove in 32 RBI...First-Team All-Area as a utility player as a junior... Recorded eight homers and 35 RBI...Named a Wendy’s High School Heisman honoree...Winner of Greater Augusta Sports Council high school star award.
