Lettered in baseball and basketball at West Mifflin High School… played baseball for Jack Forsythe… compiled 7-0 record and was named team MVP… earned all-conference honors… attended CC of Allegheny County South… played baseball for Ken Barna… also played basketball… earned all-state and all-conference honors twice… named to all-region team as sophomore… hit for .370 average as freshman and .465 as sophomore… hit .222 for USC Aiken in 1991… went 5 for 9 in two games vs. Gardner Webb College… walked15 times in 85 plate appearances… had on base percentage of .476 last season.
