2005 (Junior): Had a break-out junior season for the Pacers, leading the team in hitting at .392 to go with two doubles and eight RBI...Worked his way into the starting lineup for the final eight games of the season at third base...Saved his best for last going 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in the Pacers’ 10-9 loss to #2 North Florida in the NCAA Tournament...In the team’s NCAA Tournament win over #8 Francis Marion, was 2-for-3 with one double and one run scored.

2004 (Sophomore): Played in 30 games including 14 as a starter, mostly at shortstop...Turned in best performance of his young career in a Feb. 8 win over Lincoln Memorial...Went 2-for- 5 with one double, two runs scored, and two RBI.

2003 (Freshman): Played in 19 games starting six...Went 1-for- 1 with one RBI and one run scored in a pinch hitting role on Feb. 2 versus Lincoln Memorial...On Mar. 20, was 2-for-3 with three runs scored, one walk, and one stolen base versus West Virginia Tech.

Sir Winston Churchill High School: Named MVP of team after leading team to Canadian Elite Baseball Conference (CEBC) championship as a senior...In his junior year, named to CEBC All-Star team...Won Ontario Baseball Championship as a sophomore and was awarded the gold glove for the tournament.

Personal: Ian Matthew Graham Kowalchuk is the son of Dennis and Mary Kowalchuk...He is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies.
