Played baseball for Mike Barnes at Easley High School…hit .332 with 20 RBI as a senior…also had 6-2 record on the mound…named to all-conference and all-county teams…attended Spartanburg Methodist College…coach was Lon Joyce…as freshman he hit .430 with 7 HR’s and as sophomore hit .400…earned all-conference honors…batted .321 for USC Aiken last season…had 10 games with 2 or more hits.
