Tyler Miller is in his fourth year as an assistant baseball coach at USC Aiken.

During the 2024 season, he coached all-conference standout Josh Sharp 

He helped the program to a 32-22 ledger in 2023, which is an 11-win improvement from 2022. He helped the team reach the PBC Tournament Semifinals after earning the No. 3 seed during the regular season. The Pacers went 20-10 in PBC play, helping the squad record four all-conference selections in Jacob Fletcher, Jackson Hannon, Joseph Mozingo and Dylan Wilhelm. The Pacers upended No. 4 Columbus State two out of the three games they played during the season. In 2022, he coached all-region honoree Joel Haney and all-league performers Jeff Cyr and Haney. 

His duties include working with infielders, hitters and serving as the recruiting coordinator.

Miller began his coaching career as an assistant at Carson-Newman. There, he coached the outfielders and assisted with the offense.

Prior to his arrival at USC Aiken, Miller returned to his home state and was the assistant at USC Sumter during the 2021 campaign. He helped the Fire Ants to a 32-24 ledger and a third-place finish in the Region 10 Tournament. Miller guided the squad to a .305 batting average and a .400 on-base percentage.

As a student-athlete, Miller attended Anderson University and was a two-time honorable mention all-SAC shortstop. As a senior, he added a Gold Glove to his accolades. During his senior season, Miller tallied 144 assists and finished the year with a .939 fielding percentage. Offensively, Miller ranks in the top 10 of five different categories at Anderson including hits, walks, hit by pitches, at bats and runs scored.

Miller hails from a family of collegiate coaches. His grandfather, the late Clyde Miller, amassed 835 victories as a head coach that finished his career at Gardner-Webb. His father, Joe, spent 23 years as the head coach at Anderson University.
