Allied Insurance

Domestic Insurance

Allied:
Allied plans provide benefits up to a $10,000 maximum for all athletic related injuries. This coverage does include both accident and sickness benefits and has a total plan medical maximum of $250,000 for all covered services.  Short-term medical plans are not subject to healthcare reform laws (not ACA compliant) so the prices depend on the state, gender, age and deductible option selected and they do not cover pre-existing conditions. We know this is not great coverage, however the state of Wisconsin has very limited options in this space.

The way the plan works is that once you meet the plan’s deductible, the plan pays 80% of the first $10,000 of eligible expenses and 100% of covered services after that. Making your total out-of-pocket expenses $2000 for eligible expense (not including deductible and premium). Please let me know if you have any questions at all.

  1. Policy length: These policies can only be purchased up to a maximum of 3 months due to the recent regulation that was just passed on April 1st (minimum of 1 month). Students must re-apply in a new policy length prior to the termination date to avoid any gaps in coverage.

  1. Enrolling & Payment:

  1. Link to quote and enroll here:  http://tempmedsales.alliednational.com/?affiliate=29888
  2. Self-enrollment link: Coverage is individually quoted and enrolled in through the link. Plan can be purchased for as early as the following day and payment is due immediately via credit/debit card. You can opt to pay monthly or pay the entire policy length at time of enrollment to get discount in premium.
  3. Deductible: There are multiple deductible options, however we recommend to choose either a $500 or $1000 deductible if you can, as this is the amount you pay before the plan starts cost sharing with you to pay the coinsurance
  4. Supplemental Accident Benefit Option:If you elect this benefit option, $500 of benefit will be paid for covered charges due to an accident before your deductible and coinsurance begin.

  1. ID Cards & Receipts:
    1. Once the student has enrolled the enrollment website does not produce a receipt. The ID Cards are mailed to the address the student uses to enroll (this should the address they have while attending college). A digital copy of the ID card can be requested 48 hours after the enrollment by emailing sdoherty@dissingerreed.com. Provide full name and date of birth when requesting. If you are unable to reach me for any reason and the matter is urgent you can also request this by emailing clientservices@alliednational.com.

*Please note that this insurance coverage will NOT cover physical therapy or a sports physical.
